Brady Elijah is Here!!!

Baby Brady has entered the building! He showed up at 8:13 AM Monday morning. He was 8 pounds 13 1/2 ounces and was 20 and 1/2 inches long. Ashlee was measuring 37 weeks when she delivered so apparently the kid was living in her lungs. Baby and Mommy are doing good, Dad is still as good looking as ever but he didn't really have to do anything. Following are some pictures from that fateful day. Annalee and Addie are both really excited Brady is here, if not a little confused. Everyone is doing wells. Thanks for prayers, if you would keep praying for Ashlee to heal quickly and for Brady to eat well and remain healthy. If you would like to come see us we will be in the hospital room 211, we will be there until Thursday some come on up. The real blogger will be back soon.
Thanks,
Lee

family of 4 no more

Here's one last look at the Dunns as a family of 4! Tomorrow Lee and I will get to meet our new son, and I could not be more excited. I know I won't be able to sleep tonight.

baby shower

I have 3 other friends whose babies are/were all due within weeks of mine, so a group of friends got together and threw us one big shower on Monday night. It was so fun, and I feel incredibly blessed by my church and friends. It was a gift card shower, which I think is the greatest idea ever. So I now have the opportunity to go buy some last minute things that we still don't have, as well as stock up on diapers. Thank you everyone who helped make our shower such a blessing to us!!

Each of the 4 of us had our own table to put gifts on; here's mine & Brady's

Rachel and I will probably be in the hospital together!
Her due date is the same day as my c-section!

balance

We took the girls swimming yesterday, and after we got out of the pool, Annalee wanted me to wrap her towel around her like a dress. So I did, and as we were gathering all our things to leave, she went to the edge of the pool to try to pick up her floatie that had fallen in. Well, seeing as her "dress" was wrapped tighter than a drum, she lost her balance & tumbled right in and finally came to a stop on the second step. It was really funny, and she came up laughing with me. She asked, "What happened?" I said, "You lost your balance and fell into the pool." So I got another towel, dried her off, and we left. As we were all getting into the car, Lee asked her what happened (I'd already told him, but it's often very amusing to ask a 3-year-old to give their version of an event--as was the case here). She replied, "I fell in the pool, and that's where my balance is now."

Our little Cubbie

Annalee went to AWANA for the first time last night! (AWANA is a program for kids ages 3-12 geared toward teaching them how to memorize scripture.) When I dropped her off, she was very excited and then when I picked her up, she was even more so! She was so proud of the cubbie puppet she made, and as we walked to the car, she said, "Mom, that was SO fun!" Then on the way home I asked what they did, and she said, "We read Zaccheus." She was able to summarize the story for me, saying that he had climbed up into a tree because he was too little, and that he did it because he wanted to see Jesus. And then she said, "But climbing trees is a no-no." That made me laugh. Then when we got home, I asked her if she had memorized the verse of the week ("...God loved us...and sent His son...") and the Cubbies motto (Jesus loves me), and she had! She has such an amazing memory! Then, as if I hadn't been filled to the brim with warm-your-heart-moments (as my friend Amy calls them), after we put the girls in bed, a few minutes later Lee & I heard Annalee singing "Jesus Loves Me" to Addie. So precious!
